Birmingham, MI, May 15, 2018—Steve Ramaekers of MainStreet Design Build recently returned from a Mentors Meeting of Remodelers Advantage Roundtables, an industry think-tank for top remodelers. Eleven executives from across the United States and Canada met in Key West, Florida to provide each other with input on an array of performance metrics that they each submitted, comparing their companies’ performance to those of their peers. Members of this group were from Ohio, Michigan, New York, Virginia, Missouri, and Lakefield, Ontario.
The three-day industry conference focused on best practices in the remodeling industry and provided practical business management solutions to improve and strengthen the results that they reported on. Individual sessions included managing remodeling projects, sales and marketing strategies, and new design trends. Daily programs included strategic focus groups and roundtable discussions.
Achieving Mentor Group status is no easy task either. Remodeler’s Advantage Mentors like MainStreet Design Build need to have been in business a minimum of 10 years, show retained earnings as a positive number on the balance sheet, reach a Total Owners Compensation of 4% of revenue as a three-year average, and much more. As a new Mentor Group member last year, Ramaekers won the Idea Factory cash award for bringing the most innovative idea to the group.
