Students get a glimpse into an exciting career as a designer, architect and remodeling contractor
Birmingham, MI – June 2, 2017 – MainStreet Design Build recently participated in Seaholm High School’s 6th annual Career Day, joining over 70 businesses in helping students realize their goals of higher education and exposing them to various career choices to include design/build remodeling & construction, medicine, engineering, law, law enforcement, firefighting, organizational psychology, education, retail management, investment banking, finance, print journalism, physical therapy, photography, small business, and more.
These businesses, like MainStreet Design Build, welcomed high school students from Seaholm into their place of business sharing important information about their company, jobs in their industry, and the education and skills students need to succeed.
Adara Sesi and Drusha Zinchook were two lucky students in particular who chose to visit MainStreet Design Build, an award-winning luxury design/build remodeling firm and staple of the local business community for over 25 years. These students were given an opportunity to visit with MainStreet owners individually, ask questions, and gain a better understanding of the skills and education required for a job in remodeling.
Adara and Drusha also toured MainStreet’s office, participated in several meetings, and even visited a construction jobsite to meet and visit with MainStreet’s production team.
“This is the first year MainStreet participated in Seaholm High School’s Career Day,” said MainStreet Design Build’s vice president Christine Ramaekers. “It’s an honor to be a part of this important day for Seaholm High School students. We’re committed to helping these young adults realize their career goals and expose them to a growing industry that we have come to know and love.”
