Design Assistant

Originally from Traverse City, Michigan, Sidny brings a rich and diverse background in architecture to MainStreet. She has studied various architectural typologies, including urban design, adaptive reuse, community development, and historical preservation. Her experience spans structural, plumbing, and electrical plans, as well as kitchen designs, full home layouts, and cabinetry and window placements, extending to exterior landscaping features.

In addition to her architectural work, Sidny has professionally photographed architectural spaces and created video walkthroughs of newly renovated projects. At MainStreet Design Build, she assists with project selections, supports the interior and architectural design staff, and coordinates material and client selections. Her role includes managing cabinetry orders, overseeing lead times, maintaining the design library, and working closely with vendors to ensure timely delivery.

Sidny is known for creating experientially impactful designs, paying close attention to the unique charm of each space and bringing it to its fullest potential without compromising its authenticity. She’s excited to work closely with clients to help them feel true joy and fulfillment in their newly designed spaces, while contributing fresh ideas that stem from deep, critical thinking.

Outside of work, Sidny enjoys reading, engaging in philosophical conversations, and storytelling through video and analog photography. She also loves starting her day with a long breakfast, followed by yoga or a walk in nature, and ending it with a good book or movie.
