Architectural Designer
With over 13 years in architecture and interior design, including a Bachelors and Master’s degree in Architecture from Savannah College of Art & Design (SCAD) and seven years of running a successful design business, Kelly brings a wealth of expertise to MainStreet Design Build. Specializing in high-end residential and commercial projects, Kelly is known for crafting cohesive, client-centered spaces that balance form and function.
As an Architectural Designer, Kelly collaborates closely with clients and the MainStreet team to create remodeling designs that align with clients’ visions and budgets. Proficient in Chief Architect, Kelly drafts detailed floor plans and 3D renderings, helping clients visualize each step of their project’s evolution. She also works alongside project managers to create comprehensive construction documents, ensuring smooth and efficient project execution..
Kelly’s commitment to precision and quality is reflected in her high-quality renderings and detailed drawings, bringing clarity to both clients and team members. Known for her skill in blending different styles, Kelly tailors each project to the unique vision of MSDB clients.
Outside of work, Kelly is dedicated to her family and community. She enjoys spending time with her husband and three kids, gardening for a creative escape, and connecting with fellow designers as Vice President of The Interior Design Society (IDS) Detroit. Kelly is preparing to step into the role of President and is focused on raising funds for the IDS Detroit gala, which will benefit Humble Design Detroit, a cause close to her heart.
Her weekends are often filled with family time, hockey games, gardening, cooking, and dancing—usually ending the day with a homemade margarita! Kelly’s passion for community and well-designed spaces aligns beautifully with her role at MainStreet, where she looks forward to creating spaces that feel like home.
Kelly’s dedication to excellence and innovation in design has earned her notable industry recognition. She was awarded 2nd Place in the Remodel Addition Contest by Chief Architect for her exceptional remodeling design, showcasing her skill in creating transformative spaces. Additionally, Kelly’s expertise was recognized when she served as a judge for the 2020 & 2021 Designer of the Year Awards with IDS, a testament to her respected position in the industry. Her commitment to sustainability was also celebrated early in her career with the USGBC Platinum Thesis Award from the United States Green Building Council, Savannah Chapter, in 2011, recognizing her contributions to environmentally responsible design.
