Meet Steven Ramaekers

Steven Ramaekers, CR

President/Founder

As President and owner of MainStreet Design Build, Steve manages the company’s operations, as well as controls the conceptual design and architectural process for each project.

With over three decades of experience, Steve brings a wealth of expertise to the table. His journey began in the early 1980s, starting from rough carpentry and advancing through roles in finish carpentry to project management. Steve’s decision to establish his own business stemmed from a keen observation of what he perceived as a deficiency in quality and attention to detail within the local remodeling industry.

“I felt I could do a better job if I owned the project from start to finish. That’s the advantage of a design/build company,” says Steve. “Now in our 28th year of business, what drives me is making my client’s dreams a reality. We focus on the details in every aspect of the project – from design to materials, to construction, to finish work. Paying attention to details makes all the difference.”

In 1995, Steve earned the Certified Remodeler (CR) certification from the National Association of the Remodeling Industry (NARI). Since then, he has consistently enhanced his expertise, actively collaborating with and advising others through advisory and peer groups, such as fellow Big 50 recipients, the Remodelers Advantage Roundtables, and the Remodelers Advantage Mentor Group.

As well as being the visionary, Steve enjoys golfing, skiing and coaching high school hockey.
