Senior Project Consultant

At MainStreet Design Build, Doug relishes the opportunity to serve as the teams Lead Designer. He brings over 20 years of experience to MainStreet where he manages the Design Projects to ensure proposals are accurate, detailed, creative, and involves collaboration with our clients. Truly passionate about design, Doug has a unique ability to teach and communicate to both the internal design team and MainStreet clients.

When asked what he is most passionate about professionally, Doug replied, “I take a lot of pride in coming up with solutions that are efficient and costs conscious. It’s easy to solve problems by spending a lot of money, it’s much more rewarding to solve those same problems with a budget.”

Doug grew up in Jackson, MI, graduating from Michigan State University. He is a proud father of four young kids who enjoy traveling domestically—so much so that the family has committed to traveling to three new states every year with a plan for the family to have visited all 50 states by 2028.

Doug actively participates in the MSU School of Planning, Design, and Construction as a guest lecturer.

He also serves on the advisory board and has earned several distinguished design awards:

When Doug isn’t working, you will find him coaching one of his 4 kids sports teams or planning their next trip!
