Jan K., Project Manager
Getting his start as a commercial tile installer in 2011, and launching a 12-year career in construction and building at an early age, Jan is no stranger to the remodeling industry. He started his own company, buying and selling residential properties, and soon expanded into remodeling and renovation work as well as creative specialties. For nearly a decade, Jan ran his business purely on a referral basis until he was given the serendipitous opportunity to join the MainStreet team as a Project Manager.
As a Project Manager at MainStreet, Jan is responsible for maintaining client relationships and running work crews in an efficient, organized, safe, and timely fashion.
“I take great pride in my work, and have a passion for excellence. Over my 12 years of professional experience in construction, I have developed broad skills and an understanding of the ins and outs of renovation, but I’ve also sharpened my skills in client relations. I’m excited to bring that personal touch and knowledge to the MainStreet team, and look forward to growing with them in the future.”
Outside of work, Jan is passionate about art, disc golf, and hockey. He has spent years in the Detroit music scene, playing with multiple bands and touring parts of the country sharing his love for music. He has always had a passion for athletics, competing in tournaments as an Amateur Disc Golfer for the past two years, with aspirations to compete at the local pro level.
In addition to playing hockey, Jan coaches the Walled Lake Central’s Varsity Hockey team. He finds working with the next generation of young men extremely rewarding. Jan also is a passionate supporter of the Detroit Dog rescue.
