Meet Our Team: Chuck K.

Chuck K. Project Developer at MainStreet

Chuck K., Project Developer

Charles boasts a multifaceted career in design-build construction, having worked on various facets of projects. Notably, he holds an active architecture license and residential builder’s license, a rare and esteemed qualification. These dual skill sets offer him a distinctive vantage point, enabling a comprehensive understanding of both the design and construction details of a project. Charles’s extensive project portfolio encompasses diverse assignments, ranging from housing projects of all kinds to commercial office spaces and industrial structures.

In his role as a Project Developer, Charles assumes the pivotal responsibility of strategizing and supervising diverse projects within MainStreet’s portfolio. His duties encompass comprehensive project planning, involving budgeting, scheduling, and extensive research, all geared towards ensuring project compliance with regulatory requirements and on-time, within-budget completion.

With his background as an architect, Charles brings a unique three-dimensional perspective to the table. He commences each project by focusing on the structural aspects and approaches it with a profound passion for tackling intricate challenges that invariably arise in construction endeavors. He leverages his expertise as a voice of practicality, adept at preventing minor issues from escalating into significant obstacles.

“A renovation is always difficult because many times there are hidden obstacles.  I compare it to an onion.  The more layers you peel back the more layers you find.  My knack is solving the issues with buildings and structures.”

Charles is not only dedicated to his professional endeavors but also deeply committed to his family. He offers steadfast support to his wife, two children, and five beloved grandchildren. They treasure their time together, particularly during weekends spent on the lake or on memorable vacations in Aruba. Beyond family outings, Charles finds joy in activities like golfing and snowmobiling. He takes immense pride in watching his grandchildren thrive in their academic pursuits, sports, and various other endeavors.
