When you have a perfect-sized home that you love in the right location, all it takes is a little ingenuity and design inspiration to change your home’s exterior—from drab to fab.
This post war bungalow lacked curb appeal and artistic detail. The owners envisioned coming home to a charming, cottage-style home that had a quaint feel and promised a maintenance-free exterior.
After three months of undergoing an exterior facelift renovation, this home got everything it asked for and more. Specific architectural details included a new gabled front porch, window boxes, a box bay window, bracket details, board and batten shutters, maintenance-free shake siding, and a new roof with dimensional shingles.
Other added features included a custom standing seam copper roof overhang above the side entry and over the large bay window. The new porch was illuminated with new lighting and Pella Simulated Divided light windows.
