Birmingham, MI – April 1, 2019 – The metro Detroit design community celebrates winners of the Annual Detroit Home Design Awards every year. This year’s 15th Annual gala event was presented by Ciot on Monday, March 25th, 2019 at the spectacular Max M. Fisher Music Center, and honored professionals of award-winning home design.
Detroit Home commissioned an esteemed independent panel of judges for the competition. The arbiters of design included those with a variety of backgrounds from all over the country, drawn from national media, respected academic institutions, private practice, and nationally recognized names from design and architecture. These judges review hundreds of entries and choose nearly 200 category winners.
MainStreet Design Build was among those category winners for Exteriors (Deck/Patio/Porch).

“When it came to restoring this beautiful craftsman home, our clients wanted to remain architecturally faithful to the home’s original character by designing and building a gorgeous, new covered porch that paid homage to the early 20th century,” said MainStreet’s VP and Certified Kitchen Designer Christine Ramaekers. “The end result was exactly what we envisioned.”
