Meet Megan B.
Megan B.
Interior Designer
Megan joins MainStreet Design Build with over 15 years of diverse industry experience, including residential and commercial remodels, consulting, and film-set styling. Her deep knowledge of historical furniture and design, combined with her background as an interior design instructor, has honed her skills in mentoring and compassionate client engagement.
Megan previously operated her own interior design firm, specializing in residential remodels and conceptual consultations that emphasize clients’ individuality and core beliefs. At MainStreet Design Build, she collaborates with clients to select furnishings and fixtures that reflect their personalities, creating spaces where they feel truly connected.
Megan thrives on transforming challenging spaces, viewing complex problems as opportunities for innovation. Her ability to find creative solutions for restrictive spaces ensures that each client’s needs are prioritized and fulfilled. Her favorite feedback? “I would have never thought of that” followed by “I love it.”
Megan is not only passionate about design but also about lifelong learning and community involvement. An avid reader and information enthusiast, she enjoys exploring new topics through books, podcasts, and classes. In her free time, you’ll find her hunting for treasures at estate sales and antique shops, traveling, or enjoying the outdoors with her dogs, Charlie and Birdie.
Megan is deeply connected to the Detroit art scene, loves playing golf, and often spends weekends at the Detroit Institute of Arts or volunteering with TRI (Therapeutic Riding Inc) in Ann Arbor, where she supports adaptive horsemanship programs. She’s also a proud supporter of Humble Design, a Detroit nonprofit dedicated to furnishing homes for families emerging from homelessness, exemplifying her belief in the transformative power of interior design.
