For this family, their renovation dreams centered around creating a functional mudroom entrance for their teenage boys and a serene master suite to escape daily life. MainStreet Design Build brought this vision to life with thoughtful interior modifications and a smart 6′ x 20′ addition.

Remodeling Solution

Originally, the side entry led straight into the laundry room, which awkwardly opened into the family room, causing a disruptive traffic flow over carpeted floors. The garage had its own entry near the powder room and basement, also funneling traffic into the family room.

With the new addition, MainStreet Design Build streamlined the home’s flow by routing all traffic through a new mudroom. This space, equipped with locker and closet storage, offers a tidy transition into the family room. In the reimagined family room, the old side entry door wall was replaced with a game area featuring elegant French sliding doors that open to the backyard patio.

Upstairs, the addition allowed for an expansive master suite makeover. The redesigned master bedroom now includes an entry foyer and a spacious living area adorned with crown molding. The luxurious master bath features a custom inset vanity for two, a freestanding tub surrounded by built-ins, and a separate room for the toilet and steam shower.

This renovation not only enhanced functionality but also added a touch of luxury and serenity to this family’s everyday life.
