This relatively new home in Quarton Lake Estates had an existing large primary bathroom. However, the room was cut up with partitions for the toilet, shower, and tub, making it feel small and outdated. Our clients wanted a light, bright, welcoming bathroom to match the rest of their gorgeous home.
Here is how we executed their bathroom design & remodel.
The bathroom was gutted back to the studs. Both outside corners of the bathroom have eaves that encroach on the interior of the bathroom ceiling height. Working around the eaves and maintaining headroom with fluid design was a key element for this bathroom remodel.
As you walk into the bathroom, the main focus is the large free-standing tub with a Polished Nickel Brizo faucet. To the right is the oversized walk-in shower with a 3×12 glossy white subway tile, polished nickel Brizo oversized shower head and handheld faucet along with a custom niche built-in to the ½ wall. The shower is enclosed with a custom Euro-glass door and panel system. To the left of the tub, a 42” high wall provides privacy for the Kohler Tresham toilet.
Turning around, you will find his and hers Plain & Fancy Custom free-standing vanities sitting on a multi-color penny tile floor. The stone tops, thresholds, and shelves are fabricated from Super White Quartzite slabs and coordinating polished nickel Brizo faucets grace each vanity top.
The most custom feature of the bathroom is the hand-milled wainscot covering the entire vanity wall and surrounding the rest of the bathroom. Mirrored insets rise above each vanity with beautiful Visual Comfort sconces lighting each area.
