Steve Ramaekers Attends Remodeler’s Advantage Roundtable, an Industry Think-Tank for Top Remodelers

Steve Ramaekers, President of MainStreet Design Build – a luxury design/build home remodeling company based in Birmingham, MI, returns home after attending the annual Remodeler’s Advantage Roundtable in Park City with ideas for strengthening his business.

Birmingham, MI, April 21, 2017—Going to great lengths to stay on top of advancements in technology and design innovation, MainStreet Design Build President, Steve Ramaekers, attended a Remodeler’s Roundtable in Park City, Utah, as one of the newest members of the esteemed Mentor’s Group.

Remodeling companies of similar size from across the nation met in Park City, Utah and stayed at the Stein Eriksen Lodge to provide each other with input and advice on how to continually improve the remodeling services and products each company offers. The three- day industry conference focused on best practices in the remodeling industry and provided practical business management solutions to improve and strengthen businesses. Individual sessions included managing remodeling projects, sales and marketing strategies, and new design trends in glass tile, cabinetry, and green products. Daily programs included strategic focus groups and roundtable discussions.

Achieving Mentor Group status is no easy task either. Remodeler’s Advantage Mentors like MainStreet Design Build need to have been in business a minimum of 10 years, show retained earnings as a positive number on the balance sheet, reach a Total Owners Compensation of 4% of revenue as a three-year average, and much more. As a new Mentor Group member, Ramaekers won the Idea Factory cash award for bringing the most innovative idea to the group.

What an amazing group of individuals from the top on down. Main Street touts itself as taking the worry out of your project from beginning to end. And that is so true! What a great group of people. For my project, I only had a select few. But, from Steve and Christine to Kevin and Rick, the experience was amazing. First, Steve put up with my details for my pergola (which he probably regrets-just kidding). Then, Rick, the project manager was always there to answer a question, or knocking on my door for any concerns. Lastly, Kevin is a treasure. I get up early and would text Kevin and he would be answering within 5 minutes. Telling me he was on any concerns I had. I could go on. The finished project is beyond my expectations. Its all in the details. The final pergola fits so well to the frame of my house, even the tiny detail around the gutter. The height is awesome. Matching my stone to pre-existing stone, makes it look like its part of the original house and not an “add on”. I am so amazed at my finished project! Additional thanks for using Walpole-this time. The detail in the pergola really is amazing. My pergola looks like no one else’s. I will definitely be using them again for projects I have in my for the future. When you give them a project, all your headaches are gone for looking for contractors. That leaves you all the time for looking for your tile, etc. What a great idea to have a company to complete a project from beginning to end and have QUALITY contractors to do it!!
