MainStreet Celebrates 25th Anniversary

Company Partners with Habitat for Humanity of Oakland County, Lawrence Technological University and other Industry Leaders to Build a New Home

Birmingham, MI – May 15, 2016 – Acknowledging 25 years in business this year, MainStreet Design Build celebrates a long history of creating award-winning kitchens, bathrooms and home additions, in southeast Oakland County. Founded in 1991, by owners Steve and Christine Ramaekers, MainStreet Design Build has grown from a small construction company to a reputable leader in the residential, design build remodeling industry.

“We have achieved this milestone with the hard work and dedication of our innovative design team, management and support staff, talented carpentry team and the personalized customer service that permeates throughout our organization. We have dedicated ourselves to 25 years of process innovation and project management efficiencies to provide our clients with superior quality home remodeling services. It feels great to be where we are today,” Steve Ramaekers said.

In celebration of this milestone, MainStreet Design Build is partnering with Habitat for Humanity of Oakland County, Lawrence Technological University (LTU) and other industry leaders to build a home using a new community-focused design developed by university students. This partnership will work to mobilize volunteers and community partners in building this affordable home, providing a “hand up” and not a “hand out.”

MainStreet Design Build will be volunteering their hearts, hands and voices to sponsor this first ever attempt at LTU’s new model of construction that teaches its students to approach architecture and design with a holistic perspective.

From now through October 2nd, MainStreet Design Build and its partners will be raising awareness and soliciting donations in support of Habitat Oakland County’s Home Run Fundraiser. MainStreet’s goal is to bring in $25,000. To donate or learn more visit https://www.crowdrise.com/habitat-oakland-county-home-run-/fundraiser/mainstreetdesignbuild.

Throughout 2016, MainStreet will also be taking a look at where they started, what they have achieved, and revisiting their plans for the future. In September, they are inviting clients, vendors and trade partners, along with employees and their families, to a fun-filled open house event to celebrate their milestone.
