SUPPORTING “HOME” RUN for HABITAT 2016
Celebrating 25 years in business, MainStreet Design Build has spent much of its history supporting Habitat for Humanity of Oakland. In May 2015, MainStreet’s President, Steve Ramaekers was appointed to the Board of Directors.
Now, in celebration of its silver anniversary, MainStreet Design Build is partnering with Habitat for Humanity of Oakland County again, along with Lawrence Technological University (LTU) and other industry leaders to build a home using a new community-focused design developed by university students. This partnership will work to mobilize volunteers and community partners in building this affordable home, providing a “hand up” and not a “hand out.”
MainStreet Design Build is honored to be volunteering our hearts, hands and voices to sponsor the build of LTU’s new model of construction that teaches its students to approach architecture and design with a holistic perspective.
From now through October 2nd, we are soliciting your help to raise money for this new neighborhood revitalization program (Commerce TWP Build), which impacts hundreds of local families each year. Thanks to a generous MATCH from Consumers Energy, for every $2 you donate, they will match $1 (up to $100,000 for all participating affiliates).
Thank you for helping us make our community better.
