Creating a personal connection with our customers and the local community 4th Qtr 2016 |
Hello %%First-Name%%,
On Thursday, September 22nd, the MainStreet Design Build offices were filled with over one hundred people helping us celebrate our twenty-fifth anniversary. The evening was a wonderful tribute to the fabulous people we have come to know and love; our valued clients, amazing staff, suppliers, trades and of course, family. Please accept our heartfelt gratitude for your valued friendship and support over these past twenty-five years. We are excited to see what the next twenty-five years will bring! For all of you who helped us raise awareness and support for new affordable housing in partnership with Habitat for Humanity of Oakland County, we extend a HUGE hug and big thank you. As we approach the holiday months ahead and the beginning of a new year, we at MainStreet remember with appreciation the continued support of our clients, partners, employees, community, family and friends. We wish you all a joyful holiday season and very Happy New Year! Sincerely,
Steve Ramaekers Founder Inspired DesignBefore and After: Epic Exterior Renovation in Poppleton ParkThe existing sparse exterior of this Cape Cod home left much to be desired. The red brick, brown siding and dark front entry gave it a dreary look in need of a total makeover. In Home, In StyleThe Four Stages of a Remodel: What to Expect—Phase I: The HoneymoonAs a design/build remodeling company, we are frequently asked about the value of using a design/build remodeling firm over other remodeling approaches. As we explain our design/build process and help homeowners choose the best delivery method for their home remodeling project, we also like to paint a realistic picture of what homeowners can expect, from start to finish.
As with any remodeling project, there are highs and lows. For instance, you may become “over-the-moon” excited to see walls coming down during demolition and then suddenly get anxious during the mechanicals phase, when nothing seems to visually change. But, this is to be expected. You’re not alone. In fact, Houzz has a wonderful, unique way of comparing the four stages of remodeling to the four stages of marriage. Enjoy this insightful article that accurately depicts what it is like to begin your remodel—the Honeymoon phase.
